OPIOIDEMIC In recent years, Fentanyl has caused a devastating but rather silent epidemic in the United States. Bureau NY spent a week in an Ohio morgue, filming the comprehensive consequences of the opioid crisis with Cincinnati’s female coroner Lakshmi Sammarco. While the dead were all unknown to Sammarco not so long ago, more and more familiar faces are ending up on her table.
In 2020, Opioidemic won the award for Best Documentary at the Chelsea Film Festival. Bureau NY created more short documentaries. Check them out below!
